Microsoft 365 Lighthouse

Microsoft 365 Lighthouseis a service platform that empowers managed service providers (MSPs) to expand their operations and efficiently deliver services to customers on a larger scale, all from a unified portal. Through Lighthouse, you can establish consistent configurations and mitigate risks.

For MSPs with delegated access, Lighthouse simplifies the onboarding process for customer tenants by suggesting tailored security configuration standards for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and offering a multi-tenant perspective across all customer environments. Lighthouse enables support engineers to effectively manage multiple customers, prioritize critical tasks, swiftly detect and investigate potential risks, and take action to ensure their customers’ systems are secure and well maintained.

Microsoft 365 Lighthouse can help MSPs in the following ways:

  • Providing clear tenant deployment paths, enabling technicians to follow a consistent series of steps for securing and configuring customer tenants
  • Utilizing a default security baseline tailored to SMB tenants, prescribing best practices for their security
  • Supplying multi-tenant insights on device compliance, offering a comprehensive overview of how devices are assessed across all organizations, tools for policy comparison, and identification of top settings that are not meeting standards
  • Streamlining common tasks, such as password resets
  • Configuring MFA and self-service password reset (SSPR), including tools to encourage user adoption
  • Enhancing comprehension of and protection against risky sign-in attempts
  • Managing threats on Windows 10 and Windows 11 devices by providing detailed information

on threats detected by Microsoft 365 Defender and recommended actions for issue resolution and device maintenance

  • Offering insights into Microsoft 365 service incidents and advisories that may impact the customer tenants under their management

Microsoft 365 Lighthouse helps service providers address deployment, configuration, and remediation tasks at scale.
